Document and Knowledge Management Systems

Here we summarise some of the solutions for Pharmaceuticals, Government, Communications, Process and Financial Services markets, which demonstrate value added service capability.

We scoped and supplied all hardware and software, and provided consultancy for each installation. Also included was full documentation and integration, together with full administration and user training. These include Imaging and Document Management projects as both Pilot and complete system roll-outs.

Typical Solutions Include: -

• Executive Correspondence Information System. An Executive Correspondence and Information system for Global Pharmaceutical corporation is now being scoped for as Global roll-out. We have provided all Document Management and Scanning software, Scanners, Servers and Services (consultancy, installation, training, documentation and support).

• Large Archiving Systems. Supply and Installation for a Global Pharmaceutical Company to deliver a large archiving system. This has now rolled out into multiple Document DataBases on the same server. This ensures that the client does not have to re-validate the whole system each time we add a new solution. This included the specification and provision of suitable Scanners, Servers and Services. The installations have been showcased for senior management throughout the rest of Europe.

Imaging and Storage solutions have included:-

• Transferred images held on microfilm. These were imported into a DataBase in multiple page TIFF and Full text PDF images. There were 100 microfilms holding approximately 1m images.

• Document Publishing. Supplied and installed multiple scanning solutions for Publishing requirements.

• Back-scanning Solutions. Set up and Project managed several on-site Back-scanning Solutions to Scan, OCR, Index and release multiple page TIFF PDF and Text files, directly into Document Management Databases. These projects have ranged in volume from 100,000 to several million pages.

• Project managed off-site back scanning. This included collection and delivery of documents by "class four" security couriers.

• Post Distribution Solutions. Installed and configured several scanned post systems to enable full mail-post distribution using Document Management distribution/routing agents.

• Layered Pick Lists. Installed and configured imaging systems with ‘Layered Pick Lists’. The option chosen from the first ‘Pick List’ determines which of multiple options is chosen for the second ‘Pick List’ and so on.

• Imaging Systems. Although no two identical, we have installed and configured many imaging systems to process Purchase Orders, POD’s (Proof Of Delivery notes) and Invoices.

• Invoice Processing. Solutions that can process  up to 5,000 invoices per day –  scan, OCR, Index and Release with one operator.

• HSM requirements. Scoped, supplied, installed and configured Optical Jukeboxes and Management software to work with Document Management’s own export agents.
